Objectives:

  • Support the transitional homes that we have already opened
  • Open new transitional homes
  • Bring together social and business initiatives to develop the “inclusion hub”

Partnership and promotion

We involve more and more partners among the Emmaus’ friends and join our forces with the social sector organizations and business companies that share our values. Together, we build a community that accepts and offers opportunities to young people with disabilities and young people leaving orphanages.

We want to be open, transparent, and effective in facing the problems and the opportunities related to the social adaptation of our beneficiaries. We want to involve our partner institutions, business companies and society in the promotion and the creation of cultural events.

Objectives:

  • Motivate companies to collaborate and support the projects of our NGO
  • Encourage collaboration with partners from the public sector
  • Engage partners from the social sector in Ukraine and in Italy into collaboration and the sharing of experience.

OUR STORY

2010

Our story was born from a few encounters. In October 2010, a public lesson was organized in Kiev with Rosalba Armando, founder of a support center for single mothers in Novosibirsk. This lesson was attended by Inna and Aleksander Filonenko, Lali Liparteliani and Andrej Domanov, who, impressed by that testimony, began the construction of a non-profit organization in Kharkiv. After six months of legal preparation and consultations with Rosalba, the NGO “Emmaus” was officially registered in June 2011. The organization chose a particular field of action: as volunteers they began to attend the Kharkiv special training institute No. 8 for children with disabilities and orphans in order to prepare these children for university entrance exams.
