We are a Ukrainian NGO from Kharkiv that was founded in 2011 to help people leaving orphanages and young people with disabilities. We support them in the discovery of their value and of their place in the world.
After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, we started helping refugees to leave Ukraine and come to Italy, and to settle in their new country.
Currently, the Emmaus NGO works both in Ukraine and in Italy, where in October 2022 a support-association was founded: Associazione Amici di Emmaus.

We open transitional homes, we help our beneficiaries with integration into society, in their studies and in job hunting, and we work to create an inclusive space.
Along with our developmental projects, we also started emergency projects both in Italy and Ukraine.
We are a team of Ukranians and Italians working together to affirm the dignity of each one of the people who we help.
